Transit Information

GGFT is a Department of the City of Glens Falls. Services are funded in part with funds from the Federal Transit Administration and the New York State Dept. of Transportation, in addition to fares and local government support. GGFT operates all of its services without regard to gender, race, color, religion or national origin .

GGFT operates year round, fixed route public transit services to the greater Glens Falls area. Routes span portions of Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties and include Glens Falls, Queensbury, South Glens Falls, Lake George, Hudson Falls, Kingsbury, Fort Edward and Moreau. GGFT began operation in 1984 and on an annual basis transports over 320,000 riders.

Routes operate Monday through Friday from 6:30am – 9:45pm and on Saturdays from 8:00am–6:00pm. The regular fare is $1.00 with 50 cent transfers between buses. Persons who are 60+ years of age, those who are Medicare eligible, and persons with a documented disability are ½ fare. Multi–ride passes are also available, and single ride tokens are available for purchase in bulk by area agencies and businesses.

All GGFT buses are wheelchair accessible. GGFT also operates a separate paratransit service called F.A.M.E. (Freedom And Mobility Express) for persons with significant mobility restrictions that restrict them from using accessible fixed route buses. For more information about FAME Click Here.
